Meeting Elizabeth Hampton

I had been informed by one of my servants that the Duchess had arrived in Romania and she had requested an audience with me. I was actually quite excited to meet her and I was pretty certain that Christine would want to see her too, so I sent word to my sister to join me.

I have been told that the Duchess Elizabeth Hampton would like to have an audience with my brother, Marius. I know that he would want me to be with him when she arrives.

Well now. I have received a message from Elizabeth Hampton.  She would like to have an audience with King Marius of Romania .  I wonder what is the purpose of her message.  Why does she want me to come with her.

I had arrived at Peles Castle with my dear friend Cassandra Pennyfeather as I was going to meet the king. I had sent word to Marie of Luxembourg and as my coach arrived at the palace I stepped out and sent a maid in to let them know we had arrived. Cassandra came in with me.

I arrived in Romania. I go to the Peles Castle. Elizabeth Hampton and Cassandra Pennyfeather met me there. I wonder why Elizabeth Hampton wanted me to be here. I have heard of King Marius and Princess Christine. By all accounts they are good people.

Today Duchess Elizabeth Hampton, Cassandra Pennyfeather and Queen Marie of Luxembourg. I knew that Elizabeth Hampton was coming to the castle but I did not know about the other two women. Hello ladies I am Princess Christine. King Marius will be here momentarily.

I had asked Christine to go ahead to meet the ladies as they arrived for I had once last thing I needed to do. I could hear her greeting them which made me happy.

I had arrived with Elizabeth Hampton in Romania. This was a new experience for me as I had never before been here. We were greeted by the King's sister.
"Good day to you Princess Christine, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Cassandra Pennyfeather.

I got out of the carriage and greeted the young Princess.

"Good day Princess, I am Elizabeth Hampton. I believe that King Marius is aware of my visit.

I see Marius' visitor has come today.  She is accompanied by another lady and another woman comes in after them.   Good day ladies.  I hope that the travel here was a smooth trip.  As I have said my brother will join us momentarily.  It is nice to have you here.  . I look at the one woman that I have not been introduced to.    Hello I am Princess Christine and who might you be.  

I looked at the young princess and I have to say that she was very confident in her approach towards me.

"Good day princess, our journey was indeed most pleasant thank you. This fine lady is Marie of Luxembourg.

I could not believe that Elizabeth has introduced me like this. . Hello Princess Christine. My name is Queen Marie of Luxembourg. How do you do ?

. Hello your Majesty. I am happy to make your acquaintance. As I have said Marius will join us shortly. I guided the ladies to the Receiving Room. Would you please have a seat. While we wait for my brother would you like like something to drink . I nodded to the servants to attend our visitors.

I looked harshly at Elizabeth Hampton. I believe that she forgets her place. I am a queen and she speaks of me as if I am low born.

I look at the Elizabeth Hampton, Cassandra Pennyfeather and Queen Marie of Luxembourg. I wonder why she wanted to bring the other ladies with her. Why does she have her friends. I watch her closely and she does not seem honest.

I looked across at Marie of Luxembourg after Christine had shown us to the receiving room and I whispered to her.
"Remember who it was that actually made you Queen and what will happen if you disobey me. We are here for a purpose. I whisper to her as I turned and smiled at Christine.

I smiled at the young Christine and I spoke to her whilst Elizabeth was speaking privately to Marie.

"I would be most honoured to have a drink Princess, I thank you kindly for the offer.

I hand Cassandra a goblet of wine. . Here you go. It is my pleasure.

I smiled at the young Princess as she handed Cassandra some wine. I finished talking to Marie then turned to look at Christine.

"Princess, can you tell me are you the only sibling of King Marius?

I looked at the Duchess. I overheard the way with which she spoke to the Queen. . Please have a seat. But yes it is just Marius and I. We are very close. We are close in age and we tell each other everything. Why do you ask. Marius should be here presently.

I snatched my arm away from Elizabeth. She is truly testing her boundaries. She thinks that she has me under tow. I am going to search for a way to have this bloody curse removed. She is having too much fun. I paid her no attention but I smiled to the Princess Christine.

The interaction between the Duchess Elizabeth and Queen Marie was very tense.  It sounded like Elizabeth threatened the Queen Marie.  But I must have misunderstood because why would a duchess threaten a Queen.  I thought as I handed the goblet of wine to the Queen.

I looked at Christine and gave a tense glare towards Marie as I could not believe how she had just presented herself to me.

"Dear Christine, tell me the wine, is it a special wine from this country?

. Elizabeth Hampton you do know who I am.  You seem to forget that you should refer to me as "your Highness". .  I do not know who you are and why you have requested to meet my brother.  . I should tell Marius that this a mistake accepting an audience

I think that Elizabeth is up to something. She is not here for genuine reasons. Why is she here. I want to tell Marius about her. Perhaps I can excuse myself and go to Marius and warn him but how
